Nice quiet park with a great view. I just wish that they didn't have 15 different people around the park asking you if you want to take the ferry to the statue of liberty when I was just trying to read a book in silence. Some tourists enjoy things differently!
Battery park has great views of the Lower Manhattan Bay and an awesome view of the statue of liberty. Gardens here are beautiful and are well maintained and this is the place you have to go if you want to access The Statue of Liberty by boat. Overall beautiful.
Be warned though. This place can be very crowded. It's best to go early in the morning to be the first inside, or wait until the off season, which is usually late January and February.
Battery Park is really nice to hang out but it's also very crowded sometimes. You are surrounded by skyline and water which is very nice! The Staten Island Ferry terminal is right next to it so a lot of people walk the park to get there. There's a nice playground and a lot of benches. One of the good public parks in NYC!
Nice views of Staten Island, Statue of Liberty including all the ferries. There's places to eat and chat with a good friend or loved one. Can get busy sometimes however.
This is a major tourist attraction in NYC. From here, not only can you see the Statue of Liberty. But you can also see Staten Island, and New Jersey views. There is a ferry that takes you to Liberty Island so that you can not only be close to lady Liberty, but also go inside.
