My bag was stolen from here and the entire staff was completely rude about it. No one offered to help me look and basically stared at me blankly and said sorry nothing we can do. Will never be going back here!

It wasn't a cold day, but they were burning wood anyway, trying to hang onto a perception of ambiance that's as outdated as their artwork around the room.

Great music today! Very nice friendly lady at the door. All was good.

The staff were completely inattentive, especially the bartender, who was rarely at the bar. When I did manage to find staff members, they repeatedly failed to pass on my order. The order was inevitably incomplete when it finally arrived.

I can agree with the reviewers who gave the bar 1 star. Additionally, I would like to say the Gramercy Park Hotel doesn't protect their patrons from racist and homophobic activities as well. They don't even know how to apologize to their patrons who were harassed by ill mannered patrons and guest. I understand they cannot control all people's behaviors, but if the hotel and their bar's primary concern is the safety of those who enter the building, their bouncers should be trained to remove violent individuals and their staff should be trained to appropriately address these incidents after the fact, rather than dismissing them. (They ignored me and connected me to 911 when I call them.)

My experience is their establishment does in fact tolerate and accept homophobic and racist behavior. Bouncers did not remove the violent patrons and two of your staff members dismissed our complaints after the fact.

There's nothing rosy or sexy when this place is a racist establishment with unfriendly staffs and rude bouncers. It's probably the same black bouncer as the other's reviewed earlier. We went there last night, as it was Saturday and thought it'd be a good idea to swing by and see what the buzz is about. We were wrong. 5 of us, 4 being Asian and 1 good looking friend who's French. We are all out of towners so we were looking forward to it. Guess what? Only the French was allowed in and we were being pushed physically by the bouncer, saying 'reservation only'. He was aggressive to us. When we told him, our friend just went in 2 seconds ago, he said no, you cannot go in. By that time we just wanted to grab our friend and leave. But since our friend was already inside, we could only wait. They wouldn't even allow us to step in to look for our friend. I'm displeased by what happened. We finally managed to meet our friend again after waiting for twenty some minutes. No matter how 'cool' or 'must see' this place is, it'll never get a dollar from us. We had to leave and will never return. Pretentious, unfriendly establishments like this should never be encouraged.
