The NYS CPA Society is a joke. You call for assistance and everybody there is on the phone and then never return your call...
The NYSSCPA has really stepped up its game recently in terms of networking events. I attended the Cupcake event in early 2017, and both the Tacos & Tequila and Rooftop events in Spring 2017. All three were organized really well and I met a ton of great people from other CPA firms as well as industry and law firms, banks etc. Very worthwhile.
Went to a couple networking events hosted by the NYSSCPA, had a great time. Looking forward to attending more in the future.
